ランプ消した時の石油の匂う朝が雪ふり

The scent of oil
when the lamp is extinguished
Morning snowfall

湯気立つところには妻が居る

Where steam is rising
there’s my wife

日ぐれ風は氷を打って林へ遁走する

Evening wind strikes the ice
and flees into the forest

心、手、壷となる

1.

The heart,
the hands,
now an urn

2.

The heart
the hands
amount to a jar

見にゆく月がうしろにある

I’m going to look and see
what’s behind the moon

さよならさよならができてさよなら

farewell
farewell
I’m ready
farewell

衰えはて遠い世界の月がのぼる

Over a devastated
faraway world
the moon rises
