白昼の氷柱したたり死ぬる里

Mid-afternoon
Icicles dripping, dying
In my hometown

番紅花を昼の情事のあとに見る

Staring at saffron
After a mid-day tryst

此の世より薄暮の桜眺めおり

There is nothing better
Than gazing at cherry blossoms
At twilight

胸中を斜めによぎる桜かな

Drifting through my mind
Passing by at an angle —
A cherry blossom?

抱けば線香花火の匂う子

When I hold my child
The scent of sparklers
