The moon rose high
above the silver shaded forest.

On a white expanse of land
more silent than death, a stone
like a baby on fire
cries out in sharp labor pains
her stiff emotions in a state of tumult.
Spring,
come,
shuddering in conception, from the cold season
between the stones
new life in the burning sun,

月は実にたかく昇つた
くまどられた白銀の樹林の上に。

白い偉大な空地に
死よりも静かな石が
火のついた赤児のやうに
鋭い陣痛に泣き叫び
直立した感情はあくまで激動する。
春よ、
来よ、
受胎におののく圧迫と寒冷の季節から
石と石との間に
青いいのちの燃える日を、
