Haiku by Kawana Tsugio (川名つぎお)

The god
Of Hiroshima
What was he doing?

A hawk dances
the landscape
of your body

The history
on our bodies is written
in fine detail

An autumn morning
Who I was yesterday
Has yet to come by

  1. I liked these quite a bit. I’m curious why he emphasizes Hiroshima in the first haiku, at least I assume he wrote it in katakana for emphasis.
