deep within my father
falling snow
distant lullabies

父の奥に雪降り子守唄遠し

when was it —
father standing far away
by the water’s edge

いつよりか遠見の父が立つ水際

behind me
the paper door is shut
both inside and out

うしろ手に閉めし障子の内と外

die once
to become a bellflower
once again

一度死ぬふたたび桔梗となるために
