My dady made me ストイックレディ
My dady made me トラジックレディ
Reconstruction baby
My dady made me ストイックレディ
My dady made me トラジックレディ
Her dady made her Stoic lady
Cyborg 108 mechanic baby
So lonely lonely girl Stoic lolita
Lolita No. 108
Lyrics: Togawa Jun
I don’t need to buy red shoes, 8cm heels
I’m sorry I’m in love with you
I can be with you in my dreams but don’t come any closer
It’s dangerous to operate me
I’ve been installed with an IC missile
My system is built to self-destruct
My daddy made me a stoic lady
But I wanted to tell you I love you
Iron virgin Stoic lolita
My daddy made me a tragic lady
My cruel daddy the doctor
Tragic lolita Alone until I die
I have irremovable white knee-high socks My energy source is milk candy
Bad taste Reconstruction baby
If you love me hold me and run as fast as you can toward despair
I’m sorry I’m in love with you
On sleepless nights I dream
I dream of blowing up
My daddy made me a stoic lady
But I wanted to tell you I love you
Iron virgin Stoic lolita
My daddy made me a tragic lady
My cruel daddy the doctor
Tragic lolita Alone until I die
Her daddy made her a stoic lady
Cyborg 108 Mechanic baby
Such a lonely lonely girl Stoic lolita

Thank you so much for these, they are wonderful translations. I don’t know any Japanese myself but the English lyrics flow marvellously. I hope you’ll translate more Togawa lyrics too because I am absolutely obsessed with her and a large part of that is probably because her lyrics give such an amazing taste of how great she is yet I can’t immediately (or ever) know what her songs are about precisely. Thank you for unravelling the mystery a bit! I have a website dedicated to cataloguing her awesomeness a little and I re-posted your lyrics there, I hope you don’t mind.

I’m happy to hear someone is interested in lyrics to obscure Japanese songs — I usually only get feedback on haiku, for some reason. Your site looks like a good tribute to Togawa. She’s a fascinating lady. I’m a big fan of her work with Yapoos and Guernica, especially. Hopefully, I’ll get around to translating some more of her songs soon, so keep checking back.
So Japanese. A gentle kind of love, like rose petals slowly falling.
My favorite part of the song is “On sleepless nights I dream / I dream of blowing up.” I think those two lines sum up the longing and the despair in the lyrics. Glad you like them.
